 Special Accomplishments and Selected Achievements

·         Consultant, Ohio Board of Regents, Columbus, Ohio.  Worked with a team of persons to develop 16 transfer pathways for students moving from career-technical adult education programs to institutions of higher learning.

·         Twelve years in college classroom as associate professor of respiratory care.

·         Senior administrator on a team to procure a $1.4 million Wright Project Grant (Third Frontier Grant) to establish and the Advanced Commercialization Center.  Rhodes State College was the first two-year college to serve as the lead organization for a Third Frontier Grant in the state of Ohio.

·         Chief architect and author of a multimillion-dollar nursing expansion project aimed at satisfying the nursing shortage in west-central Ohio.

·         Procured funding, local political and business support, and approvals for off-campus learning laboratories in northwest Ohio.

·         Developed initial curriculum, brokered business and industrial support, and secured Board of Regents’ approval for a unique nationwide two-year academic program in concrete technology.

·         Developer of multiple academic programs.

·         Authored college strategic plans, mission rewrites, capital equipment planning models, and tactical action planning processes.

·         As a House Bill 66 Consultant, facilitated the development of processes and procedures needed to determine equivalent technical course work taught by career-technical institutions (secondary and adult) and two- and four-year colleges and universities.

·         Developed electronic portfolio systems to assess diversity and writing abilities of senior students.

·         Developed learning assessment processes which included development of learning outcomes for multiple majors and programs.

·         Fostered core general education skills and abilities in diversity, communication, and critical thinking.

·     First Vice President and Secretary, Board of Trustees, Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center of Lima and Allen County, Ohio.

·         Accreditation site visitor/consultant evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

·         President.  The Ohio Council of Chief Academic Officers for Two-Year Colleges.

·         Authored the first Board Member Handbook for the Ohio Association of Community Colleges.

·         Member of multiple panels and committees of the Ohio Board of Regents.
